Scores for Matthew’s Requiem can be obtained from his website: https://matthewcoleridge.com/requiem/. Choose the "Print-your-own -copy: INDIVIDUAL" option to download a copy (£2.50) or you can "Buy a printed copy" for £5.
The above website include a Youtube link to a performance of the work. It's also available on Spotify.
The requiem is now on Koor! Use it to learn the work at home. (Simon will also use it in rehearsals). Here are the basic steps if you haven't used it before:
You'll need a computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection
Open up your preferred internet browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari - all should work except Internet Explorer)
Click on this link: koor.app (or type it into the search bar). It should bring up the yellow Koor homepage.
Click/tap on LOGIN (top right corner)
Login with your email address and Koor password. (If you haven't done this before, you'll have to register first. It's totally free.)
Click/tap on the work, and then on the movement you want to rehearse. It will then load the audio.
You should then see a screen which allows you to tailor your rehearsal to what you need i.e.
Near the top is a line showing the length of the movement, and your progress through it. You can drag the little circle to move to a different part of the movement.
Then there are circular buttons allowing you to play, pause and restart the movement.
Then there are sliders controlling the volume of each part and the piano.
You can mute/unmute any part by clicking on the loudspeaker symbol next to each slider. When muted, it has a line through it. At the start of term, you might want to mute all the other parts (except perhaps the piano) so that you can concentrate on learning your part. Towards the end, you might want to mute only your part, to check how well you've learned it!
At the bottom is an option to reset the volumes to how they were when you entered the page.
Arrows at the side near the top allow you to move between movements (or just go 'Home' and start again.)
